Madonna's DJ Enferno Friday

DJ Enferno will be performing live this Friday, November 25 at Ultrabar on the main floor. Doors open at 9PM and allow an 18 and over crowd.  Ladies 21 and over will be allowed free admission before midnight and guys 21 and over will gain free entry before 11PM.

DJ Enferno, Eric Jao was the resident DJ at Ultrabar and the former Home nightclub and the winner of the 2003 WMC turntablist contest.   In 2008, Enferno was picked to go on tour with Madonna for her aSticky and Sweet World TourEnferno comments on the experience:

                  I got to look out at tens of thousands of fans throwing their hands in the air as Madonna sang that first line of “Like a Prayer”…to an arrangement that I came up with. That one moment, in every show, in every city, and in every country…never got old!

Ultrabar features 6 bars, 5 levels, and 4 different DJ lineups where each floor of the club will feature its own unique twist for the night.

In September, Panorama Productions announced the search for a new resident DJ. The polls were opened and voters selected eight winners to showcase their talents in Ultrabar’s Vault. Set times are from 9PM to 3AM.

October 14 | DJ GRooVE

DJ GRooVEDJ GRooVE is one of the most upcoming talents out of the nation’s capital. For over 10 years, the GRooVE has held many residencies around the world and now in the United States. The GrooVE maintains a close connection to his fans and feeds off their vibes like no other – the energy is always at peak levels when he performs. DJ GRooVE is also known for providing dance party solutions at clubs and special events. With over 12 years of experience as a DJ, the GRooVe has brought dance music to massive parties throughout the nation.

Known for setting the mood at Usher’s birthday, rocking with LMFAO, and having Kid Cudi shout him out on the mic at NYC hotspots like Tenjune and Simyone Lounge, EZ has quickly earned the respect of fellow turntablists and club-goers. With notable residencies at Tenjune, Gansevoort Park and Torches on the Hudson, EZ is certainly leaving his personal mark on Manhattan’s nightlife scene. Celebrities across the board have enjoyed EZ’s musical blends at the most exclusive venues in New York City, but don’t take their word; you’ll want to hear for yourself.


October 28 | MilesTone

MilesToneMiles Blatstein, aka MilesTone, is a 21 year old DJ/producer from the suburbs of Philadelphia. Originally attending the University of Maryland for cell biology and genetics, Miles changed universities and even majors once realizing the music industry was his destiny. He is now at Full Sail University for Music Production Online. According to MilesTone, “the online aspect of the class allows me to focus on all my areas of my career that I hope to achieve. I want to be a well-known, skilled DJ in the field and eventually a world-renown electronic dance music producer.”

Mike Ortega, aka DJ Skeem, began his journey as a DJ at the ripe age of 16. By 18, he was spinning at teen venues holding 800+ people in Virginia and Maryland. Now 22, he is ready to take the DC scene by storm. Playing music ranging from top 40 and old school to Latin and electro, Skeem does it all, leaving an unforgettable stamp at every venue he performs.

M2 continues to prove themselves in the DJ world: from spinning at clubs all over NYC to opening for Fabolous and Ron Browz. With so much experience under their belt, it’s obvious they have some serious talent. In today’s day and age, everyone is trying to be a DJ; however, with M2 continually raising the bar, it’s going to be hard to keep up!

November 25 | DJ Rew!nd

Rew!ndRew!nd’s passion for DJing began when he was 17 after seeing Grandmaster Flash live in Brooklyn. Amazed with the creativity and skill of using turntables as an instrument, Rew!nd began learning how to spin with old school hip hop and breaks vinyls. A longtime fan of electronic dance music, it was only a matter of time before he made the shift to EDM. He now regularly spins his favorite house and dirty Dutch in the Maryland and DC area, making appearing at University of Maryland Greek Life events, clubs such as District, and recently the Identity Festival in August. Rew!nd hopes to continue his success as a house DJ/producer in the upcoming years.

December 2 | George Tsakiris

George Tsakiris is a 20-year-old Greek-American from Baltimore with big plans to move to DC.  Inspired by local resident DJs Saam and Kevin Melito, he has a love for all music genres. His influences include DJ Tektronics, DJ Kidlucky, DJ LIAKOS, David Solano, DJ Mixalis, and Alex Kuros. According to George, “DJing is not just about the music, it’s the culture: you are a painter and your job is to inspire your audience to create the perfect picture.” He aspires to one day work at Panorama Productions.

December 9 | dJ Improper

improperdJ improper hails from Rockville, MD and is currently the resident DJ for the Contra Sonic series at Artisphere in Arlington. A show with dJ improper promises a blend of brand new and perfectly aged music into an unforgettable experience. You can expect a blissful night of mind-bending mashups with rich electronic textures and influences, from 8-bit to Zydeco. Bring your dancing shoes because you’re not going to want to sit this one out.
