Armed Forces Day Tribute this Saturday at Ultrabar

Join us this Saturday at Ultrabar as we pay tribute to the men and woman of our Armed Forces.

In 1949 Armed Forces Day was created to unify the branches of the military under the department of defense. Every year on May 21st this tradition is continued by honoring our troops at home and abroad who help keep this country safe.

Freedom isn't free, it takes a lot of brave people and heartfelt dedication to ensure that we live in a country that respects our God given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. In the spirit of honoring our brave men and woman during Armed Forces Day, we would to thank everyone in the armed forces who continue to keep our country safe from tyranny and aggression. This Saturday at Ultrabar, Every person 21+ who presents a military ID will receive free admission all night long. Those over 18 (but under 21) will have their admission reduced.        It's the least we can do to say "thanks."

DJ PS1 returns this Friday for a special night of PoP! Get ready DC, DJ PS1 is back and will be rocking out on the main floor! With a more than respectable 2010 on beatport.com, PS1 has moved into 2011 with enough heat to melt metal! The Moodswing 360 all-star is one of NY’s brightest stars behind the decks. His impressive resume includes events at Cain, 1Oak and Tenjune as well as being a favorite of Diddy. In fact, it seems as though the paparazzi can’t leave the guy alone.

PoP Fridays features 6 bars, 5 levels, and 4 different DJ lineups where each floor of the club will feature its own unique twist for the night.

DJ Enferno & David Berrie **SUPER POP at Ultrabar!**

DC Nightlife is on fire!  Join us this Friday for Super PoP, featuring DJ Enferno and DJ Berrie!  Doors open at 8pm with drinks starting at $1!

The legend himself DJ Enferno returns to the place that started it all, ULTRABAR! Back in the day, Enferno was an Ultrabar Nightclub resident DJ, bangin’ out the best tunes every week and tearing up the dancefloor. His talents were noticed by some big names, and soon he found himself touring globally with Madonna as her official DJ on the Sticky and Sweet tour!

His mixes are killer, his productions are bangin’, and his skills are unquestionable. Enferno is the master of the beat, and electrifies the dancefloor wherever he goes. Whether is a small nightclub or a massive stadium with 75,000+ people, Enferno lights it up!

Now he returns to his old stomping grounds to rip it up once again! So get the old crew together and come out to party at Ultrabar Nightclub!

Last spotted at Lima for Club Glow, David Berrie is the DJ of the stars! He’s performed for Diddy, Giselle, GQ, Esquire, and many more. His inspiration mostly comes from NY icons like Louie Vega, Danny T, A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul; by 16 Berrie had honed his skills and was sneaking out of the house to spin at small clubs in Manhattan.

Berrie plays a great house mix and it’s not surprising that he’s honed his skills to perfection. David is the son of a famous toy manufacturer so had the option to do anything he wanted in his life, including nothing. He had to find a passion, and after trying piano and violin he eventually landed on something much cooler.. Being a DJ!  Everything else is in the past.
